(This crow looks far too 'nice'. The one I encountered today had a bewitched crazed look in it's eye, and the beak being open like that...eek!)

i awoke to find the thickest stillest morning unfolding. i sat sipping coffee on the verandah and admiring the heavy air of anticipation that surrounded me. nothing moved, except the very occasional leaf or flower diving groundward. with this air of suspense i couldn't help but wonder, what would today bring?

Storms continued as I ran down the hill. Huddled under a borrowed umbrella. Strong, soaking rain. Hail. Soggy socks. Sun shining beautifully though the droplets.

Lightning.

Loud cracks of thunder.

Giant rain drops.

Power out.

Candles lit.

Warm soup.

Cozy and dry.

Windows open.

Smelling the rain.

lots of different things today. home gnome in the morning. continued my movie marathon. cafe` writing in the afternoon. walking and talking later.
